I'd be interested in getting the XV-6800, but using it on my current
plan with no data service. I only really care about WiFi usage. There's
enough free WiFi in the places I frequent that I can get by with no EV-DO.

Is there a way to ensure that it never connects via Verizon EV-DO and
starts charging me for data?
