That wouldn't be true. There are other databases that it can use.
Just being able to store and access the contacts in some database, even
it's own copy of MSAccess, is more helpful than an obex copy.

In the case of moving all contacts from a Motorola to a new Nokia, I used
Outlook Express .wab as an interchange format, although I had never
configured OE on this machine. It was a file format that both sync
programs used.

I thought I liked Nokia PCSuite better than MPT for synchronization, but
that's it. MPT is much more fully featured for working with the telephone.
