You may be too young to remember the EV-1 Electric Car GM produced and
loaned out to consumers decades ago. Everyone LOVED them and some tried to
hide them to prevent GM from picking them up when GM decided to destroy
them all and junk the whole program.

There's a video exposing the EV-1 reason for the destruction of all of
them. Basically, it was the DEALERS who told GM they would not sell the
EV-1 electric cars because during the test almost none of them had any kind
of problem with their propulsion system, or anything else, and the dealers
were mad as hell that GM would produce a car that wouldn't spend many
profitable days in the service department at amazing profit margins being
repaired.

So, GM dumped it. The video is around if you find it. They trailed the
confiscated cars to salvage yards and stood watch in disbelief as the cars
were crushed into junk to prevent anyone from ever owning one.

.....a dispicable company....

You can bet the hybrid GM produces spends plenty of time in the shop...
