Perhaps your battery life is due to the network and/or reception conditions?
My grandaughter has a V3 on UK O2 and only uses it occasionally. It holds a
charge for about 5 days, on day and night, although she probably makes about
10 minutes of calls and receives about the same over that period. This is
on the first replacement battery, put in about 8 months ago. Power cycling
the battery is needed, and an occasional long/overnight charge does work
wonders for the V3/V3i battery.
