I use Nokia Lifeblog to archive my SMS messages.

It transfers messages from the phone to the computer, deletes them
from the phone, and then organises them nicely in a timeline that can
be viewed and searched.

It does require a client that runs on the phone, so you'd have to
check if that's available for the 6125.
