On a WM6 device to get BT PAN to work you *have* to run a program called
"Internet Sharing."
Once you run "Internet Sharing" you have to
1. Select the "PC Connection" which would be "Bluetooth PAN" in the above
case.
2. Select the "Network Connection." On Sprint you have the options "Sprint
PCS" or "Phone as Modem." If you use "Sprint PCS" then you will probably be
able to get to the internet with your phone at the same time you are sharing
the internet via "Bluetooth PAN."
3 Tap "Connect" on the lower left side of the screen. After that you
should see a message that says something like: "Device setup finished. On
the PC, connect Pluetooth PAN."
I've seen one WM6 PPC/Phone where you get to "Internet Sharing" from the
Comm Manager.

When you "paired" the two devices did "Dialup Networking" show up as
available? If it did then there is one more thing you could try. On a WM5
device I have to connect to the internet manually before the BT DUN will
work.
But if I use a USB cable for DUN I have to connect to the internet first and
run a program called "Modem Link" before that USB connection will work.
One more thing about BT PAN on a WM6 device. If you break the connection
for some reason, you have to tap "Connect" again on "Internet Sharing" to
restart it on that side.
With BT DUN you can forget about your phone and just leave it in your
pocket. I prefer BT DUN over BT PAN but when you use BT DUN you can *not*
have the internet in two places at the same time like you can with "BT PAN."
