Verizon vs. Alltel

I was with alltel through three name changes. I left them because of an
arguement with customer service. That mistake I regret everytime a pay my
verizon bill. I will most likely return to Alltel when I can afford my
Verizon buy out. The new digital bag phone is coming out will only be
carried by Alltel.

Ernest, I already had the "new digital bagphone" and returned it
to Alltel because it's a TOTAL LIE. It's not a bagphone at all.
It's the same micropowered toyphone built into this huge,
impressive bagphone case, sorta like one of those transistor
radios built into the nostalgia Crosley cabinet that's mostly
empty.

That bagphone doesn't run any more power than the smallest pocket
phone Alltel sells. The other problem is they were too stupid to
build it into the HANDSET, so you must ALWAYS hold the bagphone,
not just the handset like the old AMPS phones, to dial from the
main chassis, not the handset.

Just as poor a coverage as the pocket phones have....not 3 watts
from a big antenna like our beloved bagphones on AMPS.

Two words - IT SUCKS! Sorry to bust your bubble on it but that's
the truth....

Welcome back to Alltel. It beats Verizon's ass every place I go.

I saw the truth about the m800 today while researching it on the net. Thank
you for your reply. Oh Btw kd4imu here, I will probably still switch back to
alltel when I can afford the buy out. Thanks for the reply.
