Default Motorola damage can it be repaired???

My V220 was recently run over by a car and the flip up has been torn
from the body and obviously the ribbon has been torn in two.
I really need to get into the phone to extract some texts that are dear
to me but cant as it stands.
Can it be repaired so i can get to the texts? Or can a second phone be
used to transfer the internals to so that I can do the same there?

Appreciate any help here. many thanks

Andy

I really doubt it, I think it's gone forever but that doesn't mean you
can't try. If you have a cable to connect to your PC, try BitPim and
see if you can get to the files.

If that doesn't work see if your local phone place can transfer the
files when you buy a new phone, if not, try contacting Motorola and
tell them what happened, ask if they can do it. Be prepared to spend a
LOT of money!

Good luck, I hope this helps.

text messages are or were intended to be transitory, short notes such as
those written on Post-Its. If you remember them, treasure tham and want
them recording then they are worth *writing* down and preserving in a
diary. If the 'phone's dead then treat the texts the same way: a memory of
a dead past and move on.
