Generic tools to use RAZR V3m as mp3 player?

I am having zero success connecting my RAZR V3m to my PC using the V-
CAST Music Essentials Kit CD. XP senses new hardware when I connect
my phone but can't locate load drivers. Whatever drivers it is
looking for are not on the CD.

Is there a non-Verizon non-V-CAST way to connect my phone to my PC and
to load mp3 files to the phone?

Are there generic software tools I can purchase to allow me to
actually use the music function on this RAZR phone?
