Defective KRZR K1/Battery?
Got a new KRZR K1 today at Walmart. Seems to work fine, but I have
had the battery charging for over 8 hours and it's still charging. I
will let it go overnight. I am using the fast charger that I use for
my other KRZR K1, and it never takes more than a couple of hours to
fully charge the battery. Does this sound like a defective phone or
battery? I would lean more toward a bad battery at this point. When
I brought the phone home, the battery showed 2 bars out of 3, which is
a long way from total discharge.

Hrmmm. I can't recall exactly how the 2 we have in the house here
went. We used the standard chargers with it, and I'm pretty sure I
let em cook overnight to reach a full charge. That's not to say they
needed all that time.
You're correct that you may have a defective battery, charger, or
charging system. Maybe someone else had a better recollection of
their first day of Krazr usage.

Take it off charge, take the battery out and gently clean it's contacts and
those in the 'phone and then after reassembly, try charging again. I have
occasional but similar problems with my V3i and that's all it needs.

Thanks Todd. I let it cook overnight, and still not charged. This
morning, I took the nearly full charged battery out of my other KRZR
and put it in the new one. I has been charging for an hour, and still
not charged. It now looks like it is the charging circuit in the
phone. Either way, it looks like another trip to Wally World today.

I tried more than one battery in it. No help. Got a replacement
phone this morning and it charged fully in about an hour. Didn't like
the other one anyway because the cursor button didn't always work on
the first press. This phone is perfect. Got it all programmed and my
wife is using it as I write.
