Since I downloaded the latest N95 update, the number to my 02 (in the UK)
answerphone that is stored on key 1 has lost the "+" sign so it no longer
connects. At least, I presume that's the problem because it is the only
visible change.
Is it possible to edit the number stored on this key because I'm blowed if I
can find where I can do it.
02 recommend the workaround of storing the number on a different key.

Yes, thank you!
I had to go Menu > Tools > *Utilities* > Call Mailbox > Options > Change
Number
but apart from that I found it worked a treat and I could restore the
missing "+".

Interesting that the O2 firmware has an extra menu layer (utilities) over
the Vodafone firmware version.
All I need to do now is work out how to remove the vodafone firmware on this
N95 to upgrade it to the latest V20 vanilla nokia firmware.

That Utilities layer may have come with the upgrade, I suppose?
It installed fine on my O2 N95.

Nemesis Service Suite beta can be downloaded for free. Change the phone region
code using this program and then download the new firmware using Nokia Update.

What is the significance of this "region code", and is there a quick
way to find out what region a N95 is set to?

I changed the code to 0534841 which is a Euro code and that allowed me to
upgrade to the latest firmware, 20.0.0.015. As far as I know, O2 have yet to
release thier version of this firmware and they are still on version 11.0.026
The region code is on the label under your battery. NSS will also tell you the
region code. Enter it here to find if there is an upgrade for your phone. http://europe.nokia.com/A4305060
Your current firmware version is shown by keying *#0000# on your phone.

I am on 02 in the UK and have downloaded the latest version from the Nokia
site without difficulty (except for the issue detailed in the header, now
resolved).

Interesting. Nokia are still reporting at http://europe.nokia.com/A4305060 that
the latest firmware for an N95 with the O2 specific code of 0548021
is 11.0.026. What code is your N95?
