Hi all, just got an N95 on Orange. Wondered what was the best memory card to
go for and where to get it. Ideally I;d like a high street store tomorrow
(UK) but if it's a lot better to order online then I can. I know I need a
micro SD card and was looking for between 1 and 2 GB, saw some Sandisk ones
on www.mymemory.com but I heard different cards have different speeds and
reliability so does anyone have reccomendations I can use?

I bought a Sandisk 2GB card for mine. I got a standard one, and it
turns out that the video recording function and playback doesn't work
very well, it will tend to stutter. Try and go for a high speed card
if possible.

If you look for a Sandisk for example, at the time I bought mine there
were two microSD 2GB cards available. There was nothing to distinguish
between them on most online retail sites. The prices were very close,
and the only difference I could find between them after contacting
Sandisk was that one was faster than the other. Sandisk listed both as
compatible with the N95, although they seem to have since removed the
card I bought from that list. If possible I'd go for a Sandisk Premier
card, as these are claimed to be faster, and therefore unlikely to
cause the problems I've seen.

Does anyone know what the largest size memory card that works in a N95
is? Nokia say 2GB. Is that correct or are people using larger than
that?

Nokia doesn't claim that the N95 supports SDHC cards, which are
basically SD cards over 2GB in capacity. However, the Sandisk device
compatibility list claims there 4GB cards will work, and a Google
search for Nokie N95 HDSC will reveal many reports of successfully
using 4GB cards. Sandisk also list a 6GB card, with a note saying that
it may work, but users would need to check with their device
manufacturer.

I have a Sandisk micro SDHC 4GB card in mine & it works flawlessly. The only
problem you may get is that old card readers will not read SDHC cards, but
you get a Sandisk MicroMate adapter with the card, so it is not a problem.
HTH.

Thanks.
Having now looked at the SanDisk web site, I see it recommends a 6GB
microSDHC card for the Nokia N95. It suggests the phone may work with
a 8GB card but cautions you to check with the manufacturer first.
Maybe SanDisk have got a bit more confident about which cards work
since you last checked.

Well I last checked the day before yesterday, so they must have
changed it very recently!
