Default 6682 or E-70 Smart Phones

I am considering changing my wireless phone provider (must be GSM) from
tMobile to Centennial. Given some special considerations--(I am a
totally blind phone user wanting to add speech output to a smart
phone)--I have been told that either the 6682 or E-70 is compatible
with Centennial. But I don't know if this carrier is able to offer any
discount on the cost of the phone hardware or the speech software
(TALKS) if I sign a certain type of service agreement with Centennial.
Cingular does offer such a deal, but I'm concerned about the signal
strength from Cingular to my area. (I live in and travel throughout
northern Indiana and SW Michigan.)

If anyone has insight, please let me know. Also, if anyone has good or
bad reports about the durability, sound quality, features, etc., of the
6682 or E-70, I will be very thankful for your response.

Kind regards,

Kane Brolin
Mishawaka, iN

I'm sure both phones are compatible (as long as the E70 is the US 850
version) with Centennial (I read it using a GSM 850 network). Don't know if
the operator provides these as subsidised phones, that is another issue,
generally I would suggest getting an unbranded phone.

E70 is based on S60, third edition while 6682 should be using an older S60
version. You should check if the essential applications are available for
S60 3.0. This used to be a problem but is getting better all the time. E70
on the other hand is a later model and should have a bit more processing
power. Don't know if this TALKS is a heavy application or not.

I have no personal experience on either one and would not comment voice
quality etc.

I hope you enjoy the phone, whichever you decide to have.
