Default E70: backup all the sms to a mac / pc under linux

Hello,

Simple question: I'd like to backup the sms (about 300) stored
in my phone, but without the nokia pc suite, because I simply
don't have windows...

Any suggestion? :)
Thanks & regards,
Olivier

PS: the "backup to memory card" funtion isn't working btw (2nd firmware version),
it crashes because of memory problems, but all applications are closed...

gammu is an application to be used under GNU/Linux, no matter if it's PowerPC
or x86 that is the computers CPU. You may want to use a front end for gammu,
there is one called wammu. I'm not sure how well the E70 is supported, you
need to test that yourself.

It's sad that a company that uses GNU/Linux in their product, don't support
the OS, not Nokia tools for GNU/Linux and they don't provide needed
information to allow someone easily make such tools.

If you can't locate gammu/wammu for your distro, then visit freshmeat.net

This could help for OS X:

Good luck!
