I think that I have purchased either the WORST PHONE on the market, or maybe
mine is just a P.O.S. . . Hard to say because I haven't called Nokia yet ..
by the way ... when I do, will I be talking to America?
Pretty much I can make calls, recieve calls, send and receive text but other
than that, I have to open the back, remove and replace the battery every
time I attempt ANYTHING else. Even trying to back up, the phone locks up.
Is there a reset hole or am I going to wear out the battery cover, because I
have had to reboot 3 times already this morning .. the last time being when
I tried to back up the phone ...
aaarrggghhhhh ... A big chuck of change thrown out the window I am afraid
....

You may need to update the firmware on your new phone. This can be done
by yourself now. <http://www.nokia.com.au/nokia/0,,96565,00.html>

If you're in the USA who is your service provider? They may have something
to do with your problems, or not.

Most likely you will talk with someone in India, if you call a support line
for American customers, as they are a lot cheaper and speaks in many case
better english.

I suggest you get back to the store and get your phone replaced.
Seems to me the only download is for the Nokia program . I don't remember
seeing a firmware update.

I guess I am going to have to call NOkia .. ugh ... I went to the website,
downloaded and ran the update program. Get to the point where it checks my
phone to see if I need to install updates, and the phone loses the
connection with the program .. I tried it about a dozen times .. each time
the same. Is there a place where I can see what version I have installed ?
if yes, what should it be? Diane

It says it has disconnected, but just leave it go and it does what it
has to!

Thanks, for your help .. I think what the updater said was there are no
updates for your phone, and then I look at the connection and it says it is
disconnected. I purchased this phone new, so it MUST need to be updated
right?
I really should finish a few cups of coffee before trying to think ...
What version should I have ? And where do I look to see?
