2610 Backlight

Hi

I'm in UK with 2610. Accessory option allows me to set for Backlight ON
when charger connected. However when using plug in car kit, the accessory
option is for Handsfree, which doesn't have a Backlight ON option, even
though it is charging. Am I missing something, or is this correct. Can I
download something that will give me the Backlight ON option.
