A few weeks ago I got a 6230i after finding my way around it I bought a 2
gig mmc card for mp3's, as I just want it running it's little speaker in my
top pocket while I work, quality is not important.I started to encode some
mp3's at a rate ok for this purpose, I calculated I could get about 4000
tracks on the cardas I passed the 1000 mark I found I could not jump to any
tracks past 999, am I missing something or will I just have to accept random
play?

Are these all in one Play List? I suggest you try dividing them up
into multiple Play Lists.

Not yet. I only have about 0.5GB's worth on my card divided into
five playlists.

been expermenting, I have 1300 tracks in 0.7 GB divided these mostly into a
playlist per album, it looks like there is a limit of 60 playlists but I can
still add songs, I will now try making bigger playlists to see if there is a
limit on tracks
