N82 - Nokia Firmware Updater Not Supported!!

N82 (unbranded) v10.0.046 24-10-07 RM-313 Nokia N82

Can't check for firmware updates for this phone. I suspect there isn't any
available, but it normally says you're firmware is up to date, and an option
to re-install your current firmware. But Nokia Software Updater Now says
that my phone isn't currently supported for firmware updates, but I checked
about 2 weeks ago, and it worked fine then!

Any ideas?!?!

Well it is a very new phone, maybe they have found a glitch in the
firmware updates for this phone and temporarily pulled support for the
updater.

Maybe try un-installing and re-installing the firmware updater on your
computer and see if that makes a difference. If not you may have to
wait and see what Nokia does or send them an email.

Thanks for your reply! I've just bought a new PC, with Vista on it. So
everything has had to be reinstalled on it! I know it worked on my old PC a
couple of weeks ago!
I don't think it's a problem my end, because I just tried it with my wife's
Nokia N72, and that updates fine!

Maybe, like you say, they've found some bugs, so we might be getting a new
firmware version for the N82 very soon!
It's a very stable phone apart from this! It's a bug I can live with for the
time being!
