using Nokia70 as a modem for a notebook to receive faxes

Has anyone tried using Nokia70 as a modem for a notebook to receive faxes?

Sending and receiving faxes in the traditional sense of a faxmodem is
probably not available to anyone in the US on a cellphone any more.
Cingular used to offer CSD as an option, but no longer.

Receiving faxes as an email attachment might be a suitable substitute.

http://www.efax.com products page shows their free inbound service for 20
faxes per month, more with a subscription, and outbound faxing with
subscription.

http://www.fax1.com has a per page fee with no subscription for outbound
faxes, inbound by subscription.

nope

the fax in the notebook failed to recognise the incoming call as a fax;
but I suppose the Nokia did not pick up the fax signals as well

have checked with another operator and they do offer fax on demand for
extra fess per month, but I think I'll pass
