I have the HTC Mogul, and it connects to WiFi. I rarely use it, even
at home, however. EVDO Rev. A connectivity is just fine for how I use
the phone.

Except for the stylus, which has become somewhat loose, I am very
happy with this device.

The Windows Mobile-based Sprint Mogul does 3G and WiFi.

Yes. There are smart phoneS that can do this, as in there are several
of them... have been for a long time now.

Trolling? I'll bite. I've been connecting to either wifi or wireless
with my phone for about three years now, except for on Sprint's CDMA
network.

I rarely need to connect to WiFi, because Sprint's CDMA network is
faster than many DSL connections, where AT&T's GSM wireless network is
barely faster than dialup.

The display on the iPhone is nice for watching multimedia.... as in
we've gotten the iPod Touch. But the iPhone only has about 10% of the
features that most Windows Mobile smart phones have.

Another benefit of Windows Mobile compared to the iPhone is you can
develop ANY app you want (mobile and desktop) with just a copy of
Visual Studio. It makes iPhone 3rd party development quite laughable.

This is not true on 3G phones. You may be comparing the 2G iPhone to the
3G "smart phones."

The iPhone was never intended to be a competitor to Blackberries, Palm
based phones, or WinMo phones, in terms of features.

This is true, but again the iPhone never was intended to be compared
against PDA phones. The current iPhone is a combination quad-band GSM
phone, video iPod, and mobile web browser. However nothing stops Apple
from taking the base platform and enhancing it with the features
necessary to compete against PDA phones. The connect speed issue will
soon be solved with the 3G iPhone model.
