Of course, this "backwater" is responsible for 20 percent of all
federal income tax collections. Not to mention the fact that while we
are now feeling the real estate downturn as well, our market is much
more vibrant than the boom-and-bust cycles of the West Coast.

So what exactly qualifies as advanced that NYC doesn't have. Most of
the city-wide wi-fi initiatives have ended up in economic shambles
beacuse there's no business model. The West Coast may love to float
businesses with no viable model, but that's not our style.
