Default Need Motorola Phone Tools- Backing-up Address Book Suggestions

Isiah,

How did you back-up your phonebook/contacts on the Razr? Can you believe
that Futuredial does not support the Sprint Razr and does not have plans to
support it? Those bastards!

The Razr also does not support the new over-the-air contact backup that is
being offered by Sprint. How can I backup my contacts now that I have then
entered into the phone? I need a solution as soon as possible.

I need information of where to download the latest version of Motorola Phone
Tools. Also, does it only work with Bluetooth, or is it possible to use it
with a USB cable connected from the computer to the phone.

Thanks for the information

I used Motorola Phone Tools (MPT).

They probably realize that Motorola already supports their products
quite well with their own software, and don't feel they can compete with
MPT. Sucks to be Futuredial.

Now THAT I was not aware of. I'm quite surprised! I'm wondering if
it's a capability the phone lacks, or if Sprint simply hasn't updated
their application to support the phone. I would suspect the latter:
Sprint doesn't even have car chargers in their stores yet that are RAZR
compatible. And as I've said before, it seems like someone on the CDMA
side of Sprint really has a chip on their shoulder for Motorola, and is
doing everything they can get away with to NOT support the Moto handsets.

Right here:

http://www.bvrp.com/customers/motoro...g/selector.htm

It's 30 bucks. After you install it, make sure you run LiveUpdate to
ensure you have the absolute latest version of MPT. You need the very
latest version to support the Sprint RAZR V3m.

Actually it doesn't. Mine sure didn't anyway.

But, the RAZR does take any standard USB cable with a mini B connector.
And yes, MPT will work via USB cable to support the V3m. Actually,
I'd recommend the cable over Bluetooth anyway.

I bought one for my daughter at Best Buy, 29.95 with the cable in the
box...so I guess it depends on where you find it...the alltel software was
79.95 with cable but it does not have the capability that motorola has.
Also if you run a version of Linux, you don't need the software as my
distro provides it free, just the cable that your talking about.
