Someone at sprint without my consent added the equipment protection
plan to my account. It was added in March of last year and I just saw
it on my bill today. Sprint says they will only refund me for 2 months
of lost money, but not for the entire duration. Nobody at sprint has
been able to help me. They said there was nothing they could do. This
includes supervisors and managers. I am considering small claims
court. Any suggestions?

It's been almost a year, and you *just* noticed it now?

I'd suggest that if much, much more of your time and energy
are worth less than the amount you paid that you don't want to, go
right ahead. Otherwise, I think you have to just let it be.
If you didn't check your bills for months, which is rather
unusual, it's hard to claim that anyone was purposely defrauding you.
It seems more like you let the protection last until you were
satisfied you wouldn't need it, then claimed you never wanted it.
Sorry, but you really have to check your bill, especially with a new
account. Just my opinion.
I had the same thing happen to me. Sprint was charging us for International
calling every month which I did not ask for. I was only able to get 2
months credit. I watch my bill very closely every month now.

So.. What, $3.95 a month. 10 months. Minus the two months they're
refunding you - 31.60.
You're going to go to court over $31.60?
I'd say a smarter choice would be check your bills you pay. One year,
and you just now notice it?
Yes, my suggestion is to thank Sprint for even offering to refund 2 months
after all this time you moron !!! Jeez, look a gift horse in the mouth .

It took you 9 months to "notice" it on your bill? You want Sprint to lose
money because you are too lazy to check your bill? You were given a
generous offer...I advise you to take it.
On the other hand, take it to "small claims court". The judge would
appreciate a good laugh, and the court costs will make you wish you hadn't
added insult to stupidity.

The first question any small claims court judge will ask you is, what
took you so long to discover you were being overbilled?
The charges were clearly listed on your bill, and presumably, you were
paying that bill. So it becomes your responsibility to check your bill
for inaccuracies. If the charges are listed, you can't claim that
Sprint was trying to defraud you, because they gave you a clear
indication of what you were paying. And evidently, you didn't seem to
think the bills were too high, otherwise you probably would have checked
it much sooner.
I think Sprint's offer to credit you for the two months you paid
insurance is more than fair. I would take it if I were you.

Yes - check your bill more often than every 9 months.
