Uploading videos from PC to Picture Mail
Is there any way to upload video files from a PC to the Picture Mail
Web site? I can upload video files smaller than 256 KB directly from
my Treo 650 to the Web site wirelessly. I can get the files from my
Treo to a PC by Hot Syncing. I can upload photos from the PC to the
Web site by clicking "Add Pictures from PC." What I cannot seem to
figure out how to do is upload video files from the PC to the Web
site. Sprint cannot even seem to tell me if it is possible, let alone
how to do it if it is possible.
Thank you.
-----
This is a spam-protected account. Please subtract one from the
number
in my address if you need to reply to me directly. If you try that
and the message bounces back (usually because I have disabled a key
that has gotten onto spam lists), please go to
http://www.zoemail.net/?jlevy to request a temporary key.
By the way, if you like the ZoEmail service and sign up for an
account, please list my account (jlevy) as the person who referred
you. We will both get something.

Uploading videos from PC to Picture Mail
Thank you. Sending the videos to my own Picture Mail e-mail address
does seem to help. There clearly is some sort of size limit but it is
higher. A 355 KB video got through. A 1.7 MB video bounced back for
being too large. If I figure out the threshold more precisely, I will
post a follow-up.
I did not understand your second suggestion. Can you explain what you
meant?
Thank you, again!

Uploading videos from PC to Picture Mail
You can e-mail yourself (or anyone else) a picture or video directly
from the phone but the same 256 KB limit seems to apply so it is not a
way around the upload limit.
I have been surprised how poorly Sprint seems to have designed and
documented PictureMail. I totally understand having bandwidth and
storage constraints. I just do not understand why Sprint does not
make them clearer and make it easier to do uploads that fall within
the limits.

Uploading videos from PC to Picture Mail
Which phone do you have? I have the Treo 650 so that is on Vision,
not Power Vision. I wonder if the limit is higher for Power Vision
phones because of the increased bandwidth.
