Does Picture mail included with vision Pack?

I have Sprint PCS Vision in my plan for the last 4 years; i just
upgrade my phones (I have 4 phones shared minutes & Vision) to Katana.
I asked the cs rep. when i upgrade the phones whether i can send and
receive pictures on my phones without any added charges? Her reply was
that (YES but only on the main Phone, not the other 3 phones!!)

Is that the case? I have the old vision plan shared on all 4 phones
with unlimited MSM.
On their site it showed that Picture mail is included and unlimited
with Vision pack!

I really don't want to try and then I will be incur extra charges >

I currently work for Sprint as a Technical Support Specialist, I will
be glad to explain
how this will work. Vision does not work quite the same way that the
minutes on your plan do.
You don't really 'share' it. If the only thing you pay for instance,
is $15 per month for
vision services, and there are no other lines that are charged it's
own Vision service fee,
Then only the line that has the charge on it has vision to use
unlimitedly. The other lines,
If they are vision capable, would be charged .03 per kilobyte of data
used either for surfing
the net, or for sending or receiving picturemail. It may be that your
account is set up where
one line pays $15 and the additional lines pay a smaller portion for
vision because you have a shared
minute plan. IF this is the case, then you all have the unlimited
vision services. A quick look over your bill
on each line of service will determine which of these is the case.
Just look were the detailed billing starts
for each line of service, for a charge for Vision from 'such date to
such date'. All the lines that have this have
unlimited vision, the ones that do not would be charged extra for
using vision. Also not all of the older vision
plans included picturemail. But there would be no extra charge for
attempting to send picturemail, you would
get a message telling you that you need to sign up for the service
extra to continue, if it is not included.

As helpful as dafydd may be trying to be, unfortunately none of the
Sprint 'specialists' know what the hell they are talking about. I get
a different answer from every single person I talk to within that
company.

i get unlimited picture mail file sends to and from my PCS mail box for a
flat fee of $15.00 a month. same with my internet thats part of the vision
pack.

I have a slight variation of this question.

My sister is getting a new line of service from Sprint, MOTOKRZR. She has
zero, zilch nada interest in using the wireless web. So, she's not going to
be getting even the basic PowerVision access pack. However, she DOES want to
send/receive Picture Mail from time to time -- like one or two photos every
couple of months. It seems unlimited Picture Mail is only included on the
$20/mo and up PowerVision packs.

Is there such a beast as "casual picture mail?" How much is it?

- When I receive a "picture mail" on my phone it comes in as a regular text
message with a URL to click. Would she also receive "picture mails" that
way?

- How would she send pictures to someone if she doesn't have the PowerVision
service?

she needs the vison pack not the power pack.
the basic pack is 15 a month and is unlimited use if you dont use the net
then so be it but you do get unlimited picture mail that is worth it.

Unfortunately, you cannot add a vision package to a powervision
phone.. they would need a power vision package.
The 'Power Pack' package is not the vision or power vision, it is the
newest minute plan type they are offering, that
includes 7pm nights and free mobile to mobile, free roaming and long
distance.
The gentleman is correct in saying that as far as a new line of
service goes, the picturemail is only included in the
$20 and up powervision package, However, you may be able to ask for
just the pictures which is $5 per month. Th $5
covers the cost of setting up and maintaining the picturemail site for
the customer. You would still however be charged
on a per kilobyte basis for the amount of data transfered when sending
the picturemail, or receiving as the case may be.
The cost of the per kilobyte usage is .03 per kb currently.

Well, maybe if she were regularly sending a lot of photos. Firstly, the $15
plan doesn't include PictureMail; she would have to sign up for the $20 data
plan.

If a typical picture is 64K, then at 3 cents a kilobyte that is
$1.92/picture. She would have to send more than 10 pictures a month for that
to "be worth it." I doubt she will send more than 10 per year. Which, if
it's correct that she needs to have the $5/month PictureMail option, that
would end up being ~ $8/picture. ($60/yr + $2/photo). Still better than
paying $24/photo. ($20/mo * 12 / 10)

For that kind of money, I'm pretty sure she will be content with uploading
any photos she takes to her PC and emailing from there.

not correct i have the 15 a month vision pack and i get unlimited internet
and pcs picure mail and have had it for a bout 6 months now.
i know what i pay and i know what my rep sold it to me for unless in youre
area its higher .

And I personally pay $10 for the Power Vision Plus Pack, but that is because
of a special deal I got. The "list price" is $20; look it up on the Sprint
site.

$15 or $20, you still have to send a bucketload of photos in order for it to
be "worth it." ($18/photo if you send 10/year, vs. $8/photo with the
$5/month + $2/ea. option.)
