Default Moto Q; No DST update. Still shows old standard time???

Gotta love it.

Moto Q has to go to Sprint service center for DST update.

They knew about this when they designed the thing ??

It doesn't get its time feed directly from the server like
every phone I've ever had. I have to reboot it, but it just goes to
whatever time it's served. And even if I didn't reboot it, it would
eventually reset itself.

Unless there's some higher programming function you're talking
about, but I would assume that, just like any computer's firmware,
everything is mediated by what time the computer thinks it is. I think
I'm missing something.

That was actually meant to be a question. Sorry. As in:

It doesn't get its time feed directly from the server like
every phone I've ever had??

Wrong: It was originally decided in 2005.

Motorola has a software update for the Sprint Q on their Support page:

http://direct.motorola.com/hellomoto...dateselect.asp

At the URL above, select Sprint at "Select Carrier Type",
then select Q on the Choose Phone Model link.

Then you download the app and and connect your Q to your PC to get the
update

(You have to have Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Windows 2000 SP 4)
