Nokia has confused folks with two different phones. the
1st 6650 is a straight cased phone (I don't know the operating System).
The
newer one is the 6650 Fold which is a silver or red flip case with Nokia Spec. Quote "Synbian OS (3rd Edition, Feature Pack 2 with S60 UI interface"
the 6650 Fold is sold by AT&T and (I think) T-Mobile.
As of this writing, No one at AT&T Cust. Service seems to know any in-depth details about the phone.
I have spent a total of (+35) +(46) + (25) = 106 mins Total on line with Nokia Cust. Ser. trying to get a peson on the line.
NO RESULTS. --- NO ANSWERS --- NO ONE to TALK TO. They must have some REAL Problems !!!!
If anyone can
tell me something about the operating system for the above mentioned AT&T phone and specific:
1. Where I can get a GPS program with maps that works on this phone. I
do NOT want a data link orientated program. Maps must be stored in the phone. I travel where there are NO Towers, s a data link is worthless.
2 As alternate a program that uses the Internal GPS and links via USB to a laptop to form a GPS Navi System.
3. Has AT&T locked or altered system features?
Perhaps a Tread on the 6650 Fold is in order since even Nokia has limited support.
