I've how had to make quite a few more calls to Customer Care (to fix an
ongoing problems with MyFaves, network settings, and account settings),
and when I called during normal USA business hours I did get reps
located in the USA, which were considerably more helpful than the
Bangalore reps I had gotten earlier, so your theory may be correct.
The last CC rep I spoke to yesterday was truly stellar; likewise the two
reps in Tech Support that had helped me earlier, and the staff in the
Battery St store in San Francisco.
(Ultimately a new SIM, as suggested by the CC rep, and provided free by
the store, seems to have solved my problems, even though my old SIM was
only a few weeks old. T-Mobile is in the process of SIM updating, and
my prior SIM apparently wasn't the latest.)
