Default Adding a KidConect line as the third family plan line

I;m sure I could probably dig this, but thought I would get more direct
responses here, so thanks in advance for any help.

We have a MyFaves Family Plan on which we have my line and my wife's. My
son has a KidConect account (he's only 11, but we did away with the
landline). I think we signed him up in February or March, if that maters,
and he uses my wife's old phone. She upgraded around the same time. That
is also when we switched our plan to the current MyFaves plan.

I am considering changing my son's line from KidConect to the third line
on the family plan. My questions are:

1) Will they just let me do this without a problem contractually? I assume
so, but wonder.

2) Since we have a MyFaves plan and he is using a non-MyFaves compatible
phone, he will need to upgrade. Can I expect any subsidy, or will I have
to pay full price for whatever handset we choose for him?

I have a feeling that this may actually save us a little bit of money for
now, as he is not a big talker (yet) and isn't allowed to text. It also
streamlines the bills to just one account, that I can pay online (can't
pay KidConect bills on the website for some reason). But if it is going to
cost a ton to do it (full priced phone, additional charges to switch the
account...which I don't expect, etc.)

Thanks.
