Default BlackBerry Pearl: Is That it?

I've had the BlackBerry Pearl on my TMo account since last October. I
had always avoided BBs because I hated the huge footprint. Despite
generally preferring flip phones, as well. I tried the Pearl and really
like it a lot.

It seems the subsequent releases from RIM (8800, Curve) have gone back
to the bigger and bulkier style BlackBerry's. Is that going to be it for
the smaller style BBs (I won't even bother hoping for a flip BB)?

Keep in mind that while RIM is trying to branch out into the consumer
market, its "bread and butter" are business users. Most of them prefer
the full-size keyboard that limits RIM's ability to reduce the
device's size. For instance, I never considered a 71XX series
Blackberry, opting instead for the 7290 because it has a full-size
keyboard.

To anybody who does a lot of e-mail, the partial keyboard is a deal
breaker.

Oh yeah, I understand that, though I use mine for both personal and
business and still could never see myself putting up with the clunkiness
of the bigger BBs.
