Target's $88 T-Mo2Go promo is back!
Heads up for anyone needing a new T-Mo2Go prepaid account.
Target stores are running their $88 special again. For $88 you get both a
$100 refill card, and a Nokia 2610 prepaid phone.

Target's $88 T-Mo2Go promo is back!
My brother bought two of them today. The first two stores were sold out. He
finally found a Target that had a few left.

Generally, Target stores will give you a rain check if they're out, since no
rebate is involved (meaning the actual purchase date isn't critical to the
"deal.")
They sell out quick because of the eBayers- see how many $100 cards and
Nokia 2610s were put up for auction starting yesterday! eBay sellers will
generally get a quick $90-95 for the card, and another $20-30 for the phone
resulting in a tidy little profit for their Target shopping adventure...
I'd buy another myself, but already have three "Gold Accounts" I never use
as it is, and way too many low-end phones in my collection acquired from
previous prepaid deals "too good to pass up!) (a Nokia 6010, two 6030s, a
3120, and a Samsung A437, in addition to the various "handme downs" from
former contracts and extensions!)

Will Target allow you to return the phone for a refund but keep the
refill card?

No. It calls out the refund value. I posted a snip of my receipt here.

It's also a great way to get a battery when compatible with one's
current Tmo PP phone.

The receipt says the refund value for the phone is $22.37. If you paid
$88 initially and returned the phone for a $22.37 refund, the refill
card would cost $65.63. That would be a good deal if it was allowed.

I called the eight Target's closest to me. All are sold out. No rain
checks (the ad had a disclaimer). T-Mobile could have signed up a lot
more prepaid customers this week if Target had had sufficient stock.

Not that it's likely to do you any good, the Roseville MN Super
Target had a pile of 'em as of 9AM today.

Why not donate them to charity?
