T-Mobile does not use CDMA, and if T-Mobile is worried
about being price undercut by Sprint, its cheaper to wait a year till
they go out of business, than it is to buy them out.

He might be right- apparently Sprint will be the sole surviving wireless
carrier of a nuclear holocaust, if the TV series Jericho can be believed.
Every mobile phone still working on the show- whether used by the good guys,
the bad guys, intelligence agents, military, or terrorists are all Sprint
branded and logoed. ;-)
