Right. They did a bang-up job with all of the iPhone 3G activations that
first day, didn't they.

Oh, and Trollboi, lest we forget, you were complaining about AT&T not too
long after switching from Sprint...

But you have to take the phone apart don't you? I don't think that is
exactly the common definition of user replaceable. That is a fudge of
the definition of user replaceable.

I don't think that this is true now. Also, once the acquisitions are complete, it
certainly will not be true.

Yes, someone is going to carry a little screwdriver around and dick around
with disassembling the phone to swap a battery. You know exactly what I meant
and it stioo stands - the iPhone does NOT have a field replacable battery

Hey bucko - what freqs do you think your beloved iPhone uses? If you stand
by your above statement, you don't want an iPhone either. You DO know that
AT&T isn't just 800Mhz, right??

But they are not limited to 8 Gig of data because you can swap out the card
as many times as you want. How do you do that with an iPhone?
Sorry to see that you're still stupid and slow.

Delete the existing music, load more music on instead.
Not as convenient, but for most users, it does the trick.

Or keep the music and put in a new card to get more. Or switch from a
music card to a movie card.

"Doing the trick" sounds more like settling for the limitations of a device
instead of having greater freedom to do what you really want.

That doesn't scare me half as much as letting ATT have their private data
stored in Isreal for the Mossad to have access to.....
All landline phone company records are stored in Israel.
Ask yourself why......(c;

Rense is quoting the Fox News reporting...
Do YOU trust the Mossad with your credit card numbers?

I'd still lay the blame at Apple for this "pre-bricked" b*llsh*t. AT&T's
job is to provide a customer with a phone and a working SIM. No other phone
in AT&T's arsenal needs to be tethered to a computer in order to contact the
manufacturer's server for permission to "activate" it. If the phones were
shipped ready to use, like EVERY OTHER GSM phone on planet Earth, there
wouldn't have been any snafus yesterday (other than the overload of iPhone
1.0 owners trying to upgrade to 2.0, but that wouldn't affect new
activations if those phones also didn't need to contact the same servers.)

Charleston, South Carolina area report.....
3G implemented in downtown Charleston, about half of North Charleston, Mt
Pleasant across the harbor from Charleston where the lawyers live and parts
of James Island.
The bedroom community of Summerville, where thousands and thousands of
middle class customers live is EDGE only, as is all the surrounding
communities.
What ATT did was to install 3G on a few towers where the bankers and
lawyers work and live. To hell with the rest including the iPhone owners.
Both Verizon and Alltel provide wide area EVDO coverage wherever the
company has phone coverage. Alltel provides broadband EVDO in the
damnedest place in the boondocks! Tiny hamlets and all the little roads
between them have broadband internet service to keep my Alltel-connected
music streaming driving out in the country.
ATT my ass....it's shit!
