There is no longer a "Cingular Wireless"
Navas has zero ways of encforcing any this.
It does not apply to alt.cellular.attws
And as an umloderated group, anyone can say and do anything,
unfortunately, evan Megalomaniac Navas.

His goal is to be as obnoxious as humanly possible, not to "enforce"
anything.
He's been asked repeatedly to stop posting the alt.cellular.cingular
charter into the alt.cellular.attws newsgroup, but obviously he has no
intention of changing his behavior.

He appears to be somewhat of a sociopath who enjoys the negative attention his
posts bring as that is clearly his ONLY reason for posting here. Further, he
has a stake in the creation of the cingular group and its charter and he no
longer has that in this group, which makes the previous description of his
behaviour equally true.

As I wrote in 2006:
"He often posts off-topic posts in this and other newsgroups, but what
many people object to is his endless reposting of the charter, including
posting it to other groups to which the charter has no relevance
(alt.cellular.attws). It's as if he's terrified that when (and if) the
Cingular name is dropped, that Usenet readers and posters will migrate
to the old alt.cellular.attws, a group that doesn't have a charter
written by him. So he's desperately trying to extend the
alt.cellular.cingular charter onto alt.cellular.attws (at least that's
the only explanation anyone's come up with for why he's posting a
charter into a group that it doesn't apply to)."

There is a VERY GOOD chance that I was part of that thread ;-)

Of course the other possibility is that he continually posts the
Cingular charter in this group simply to annoy everyone and get
attention. In that case, he's been successful, except for those of us
that kill-filed him (and even so, we still see the follow-ups, though to
me it's more amusing than annoying).

If you don't want to see it just kill file on the subject. Then you
won't see any followups. That makes more sense than continually carping
over the charter post.

But it takes no action on actually getting it to cease. Someday, Mr. Modem
will understand the mistake of his ways and will decide that he doesn't want
to post that charter here any more. Watch, wait and see. It will take a
while though.

Whining about it won't get it to cease. Probably just the opposite. It
is probably no effort on his part to post it. If I were doing it I
would set up a script to post it automatically, that is likely what he
has done, so don't count on him deciding not to post it. I don't care
whether he posts it or not. While I don't see the point of it, it does
not annoy me. If it did annoy me I would just kill file it. Like I have
recently done with a bunch of the rabid pro and anti iPhone trolls who
inhabit the cellular newsgroups.
