W580 and bluetooth and music

I'd like to be able to use my Plantronics bluetooth earset to listen to
podcasts, but I can't figure out how to make that happen. Even with the
earset connected, if I play some music, the sound comes out of the
W580's speaker, and I can't find any way to change that to the earset.

What am I missing here?

Most MP3 phones only play media via the bluetooth A2DP (stereo) profile,
which requires stereo bluetooth headphones. Mono earpieces don't support
A2DP, so the phone ignores them for music/movies but uses them for phone
calls.
