Default Yo, Vic!

I've finally got some substantial stuff loaded onto the new 1000GB USB 2.0
Western Digital My Book hard drive. 1TB is VAST!

Now that I've gotten a lot of stuff on it (free space is now around 200GB),
I've mounted it to the hacked mini USB port on the N800 using:
http://maemo.org/downloads/product/OS2008/usbcontrol/
to put the port in HOST mode. It always says whatever you plugin isn't
supported, because noone told Nokia we were going to use Host or OTG
modes...(c;

I'm watching a full-sized DivX documentary directly on the tablet from the
monster drive. Being successful with that, I added a 7-port USB hub from
Staples I got from a thrift shop. It does support USB 2.0. I finally
found the limit by moving the USB mouse also plugged into it in circles
fast enough to overrun the tablet's capacity to process it. The movie
started skipping, but stopped when I stopped the mouse movement.

I seem to be able to print while the movie plays, but I have no HP driver
for maemo to power my fancy HP printer beyond doing it manually...(c;

The big MyBook laying on its side makes a really nice little stand for the
tablet on my desk...(c;

You CAN take it with you!.....(c;

You should see my custom Radio Flyer wagon with the Honda EU1000i genset in
it to power it all!...(c;

I got a big #10 100' dropcord so there's no voltage drop inside at my table
when the big drive spins up upon data demand....(c;
