The only crippling Apple would do to it is cripple its player so it can't
play free movies and music, like DivX as an example. That's, of course,
because Apple is trying to SELL them something for their SELLphone.

The other crippling, like its lack of bandwidth hogging browser plugins, of
course VoIP, any kind of downloading or uploading software, is pure
SELLphone carrier...without a doubt. SELLular has never gotten over that
data-by-the-byte nonsense that didn't sell. A little profit is better'n no
profit, but "unlimited" must NOT be really "unlimited", hence the long list
of forbidden common internet uses. "Protecting the system" is bullshit.
Protecting the PROFIT is the only thing they care about, at the expense of
real customer service.

Email and Webpages...ONLY. That's the SELLular bandplan. Ain't it funny
we have plenty of bandwidth for SPAM on webpages...but not for downloading
a 3MB MP3 off your own hard drive?

We have PLENTY of bandwidth to SELL you IP-based TV....but not if you want
to listen to 24Kbps cowboy music from KSEY.

What they DON'T want you to do is interfere with the SALES crapware just so
you can do simple things you want.

Of course, SELLular companies forbid you streaming so they can SELL you
streaming.

It's never been YOUR sellphone....We just let you pay to use it.....well,
unless it croaks or gets wet...THEN, it's YOUR Sellphone for sure!
