ATT attends Femtocells Asia Conference
I got this spam in my email this morning about Femtocells (Google it):
"Avren Events is pleased to announce that the following operators will
be presenting on their Femtocell plans, trials and deployments at
Femtocells Asia 2008:-
Telstra (Australia), Maxis (Malaysia), Starhub (Singapore), Softbank
(Japan), Chunghwa (Taiwan) and AT&T (USA).
We will be announcing additional operator speakers from APAC & Europe
shortly.
Additional confirmed Speakers, Sponsors & Exhibitors include:-
NEC, Alcatel-Lucent, Qualcomm, Ericsson, Femto Forum, Frost &
Sullivan, ip.Access, picoChip, Airvana, Ubiquisys, Nextpoint, Safenet,
Tektronix, Rakon, eAsic, Continuous Computing, Rohde & Schwartz,
Epitiro.
The conference is to be held in the luxury 5 star Bangkok Shangri-La
hotel overlooking the Chao Praya river. We have negotiated an
excellent rate of just THB 5400 + Tax (including breakfast) but please
note there are limited rooms available at this price so we suggest
early booking. [The recent Femtocells Europe 2008 conference in June
attracted over 250 delegates and accommodation sold out early]
You can't afford to miss Femtocells Asia 2008 featuring speakers and
exhibitors from across Asia, Europe and America.
[Co-located with 6th Femto Forum Plenary ]

Maybe this is the plan to fix the crappy iPhone's radio problem.
I've never seen an American carrier installed sellphone repeater,
except, of course, inside their company stores at the mall to make the
crappiest sellphone look like a radio wizard. I call them "cheater
repeaters". (Making a 3W AMPS bagphone call near them renders them
worthless....(c;)
