google certainly would know who they're bidding with! (and they say they're
bidding without partners)

there's no need to make anything up, as GOOGLE says they're bidding w/out
partners.

in some things maybe, but google says they're not bidding w/ any partners.

Announced, then unavailable for six months.
Available and unavailable. Big difference.

Apparently more than you do, newbie.

Actually, we do know- you're simply too much of a fanboi to believe it.
They will not bid, as they have no interest in building a network.

" In a statement, Google said it will make its bid without a partner
more steeped in the nuances of operating a wireless network, raising
questions about how much control and accountability the Mountain View,
Calif.- based company wants to assume."

And you just showed that you know nothing about spectrum bidding- we'll add
it to the long list of things you are clueless about. What you are
suggesting is bidder collusion and is against the law. Market share has
nothing to do with it, moron.

Pray tell, what is the difference?
I mean, I agree with you. But the general unwashed masses take
"pre-announced" to mean "announced prior to its availability".
Steve Jobs announces products far, far before their availability so as
to drum up excitement among those same unwashed masses.
What do YOU mean by "it wasn't pre-announced, it was merely announced"?
You will ignore this, because you are now out of options.

No, no one knows how Apple works. All we see is what they do.
And what did Steve Jobs do? He announced the iPhone way, WAY before it
was available.
Let me use plain English to explain to you what Cozmic said:
"He announces everything far before its availability. Pre-availability
hype is what Apple is all about. Hype the hell out of a product before
the consumer gets it in his hands and realizes what a piece of crap it
is--that's the Apple way."
Do you disagree that that's what Cozmic said?

Apple *sometimes* announces things quite a bit in advance but often does
not. And when they announce something they *usually* deliver what they
promise, or very near so (unlike, say, Microsoft).

There's a lot of twists and turns in that statement. -- "sometimes",
"usually". --- When are you going to run for office? You can count on my
vote.

Thanks! I was planning on running for President in 2010... as far as I know
the competition is expected to be lighter then than it is this go-round [as
far as I can tell *nobody* else is planning on running then!]
