Handspring Visor! Cool!
I was rummaging around in a desk drawer I seldom venture into,
mostly because the last time I did "something" growled at me. I
stumbled upon a Handspring Visor, the aluminum Palm Pilot. Now
hell bent to see if it still worked after all these years, I
rummaged some more and found the HotSync cable/dropin charger
cord for it.
The battery LONG dead, I had to poke a pin in the back "RESET"
hole to git 'er cranked, but after 10 minutes of charging she
booted back up, warned me the battery was REALLY dead this time
and asked me to set the clock and date, manually of course.
I couldn't believe all the software that was on it when I dumped
it in that draw STILL WORKED! Well, after the reset, the green
blinky LED now sits here blinkin' at me to say she's charging.
Maybe I'll Hotsync it to the Palm Desktop that Garnet Virtual
Machine on the N800 is sync'd to and update the contact list.
Some of the guys on the list are DEAD, now!
All in good fun....NO backlight to run the battery down! it runs
on AMBIENT light! What a concept!...(c;
Its screen is a LOT larger than I remembered it was. It's
monochrome and as big as the N800! Wish my N800 had that
aluminum flip cover over the fragile touchscreen....a great idea.

Just for fun, I'm gonna carry it with me to show any iPhoners who
happen to have the misfortune to bump into me braggin'. I'll
bring it out and RUN A PROGRAM I INSTALLED for them to show them
how a REAL computer works!...hee hee....(c;
