Default What will Navas DO?

when Motorola exits the cell phone market?

http://tinyurl.com/3da8ds

John Navas, "modem expert", attaches himself and his reputation* to yet
another shining star <snort>.

I'll laugh my ass off.

And we won't see the Motorola charger FAQ and other similar crap anymore.

* hey, just because it's a reputation doesn't mean it's good...

Unlikely. Everyone thought once the migration to alt.cellular.attws from
alt.cellular.cingular took place that his posts of the
alt.cellular.cingular charter would be history, but he simply moved on
to annoy everyone in alt.cellular.attws, even though it has not
relevance in that group.

Even if Motorola exited the handset business, there would still be
Motorola handsets in use for many years, so the charger "FAQ" would
continue (even though the information in the FAQ is actually incorrect).

Actually, Motorola probably _could_ sell their handset business to a
Chinese supplier, just as IBM sold their PC business to Legend (Lenovo).
A low cost manufacturer, without all the overhead, and able to survive
on thin margins, could do well with it.

That analyst stated the obvious regarding Motorola's problems largely
being caused by the software in their handsets. The radio section of
their handsets has always been excellent, but their user interface has
always lagged Nokia.

(emphasis mine)

If that isn't the understatement of the century, I don't know what is.

There was one that beat that out. It was a post by someone trying to get
Motorola Phone Tools to work:

"...for what it is worth, this is a pretty bad piece of software that
needs to be completely over-hauled..."

Of course maybe MPT falls under the same umbrella when the analyst said
that "software" was the problem.

It needs to be thrown out! It is one of the worst pieces of software that I
have ever seen.

LOL, well one person in the world thinks it's great. This is also the
only person in the U.S. ever to have experienced the extended GSM
network in the U.S., which has not been deployed in the U.S.. Go figure.

Worse than that -- it is PAYWARE; you have to pay to use that crap. It
is near impossible to sync with bluetooth to your PC.

The FREE Nokia PC Suite and FREE Blackberry Desktop+Device Manager
work superbly.

I predict that Navas will attempt to become the leader and moderator of the
attws group and will post his lame charter in the attws group.

Navas is like Rodney Dangerfield... He gets no respect.

The group is unmoderated, and no one has been able to find the original
charter, if indeed there ever was one.

No one can change it to a moderated group, and none of the various
charters that individuals have posted have any relevance. Navas has
posted the Cingular charger many times, and others have posted other
charters, but all of them are bogus.

Navas could rehabilitate himself on Usenet if he truly was interested in
doing so.
