Unlikely. Everyone thought once the migration to alt.cellular.attws from
alt.cellular.cingular took place that his posts of the
alt.cellular.cingular charter would be history, but he simply moved on
to annoy everyone in alt.cellular.attws, even though it has not
relevance in that group.
Even if Motorola exited the handset business, there would still be
Motorola handsets in use for many years, so the charger "FAQ" would
continue (even though the information in the FAQ is actually incorrect).
Actually, Motorola probably _could_ sell their handset business to a
Chinese supplier, just as IBM sold their PC business to Legend (Lenovo).
A low cost manufacturer, without all the overhead, and able to survive
on thin margins, could do well with it.
That analyst stated the obvious regarding Motorola's problems largely
being caused by the software in their handsets. The radio section of
their handsets has always been excellent, but their user interface has
always lagged Nokia.
