Default 3G iPhone Rumor or truth?

Is a 3G iPhone suppose to be released? I heard something about a June
release but can not find any official announcement. Can anyone confirm this
for me?

They don't want to Osborne sales of the existing iPhone. The release
date is only a rumor at this point, while the reality of a 3G version is
pretty certain, since AT&T has already said that it's coming.

NO confirmation, but a usually reliable source:
www.macrumors.com agrees with what you've read elsewhere.

I would expect AT&T to charge $40/month for 3G unlimited Internet as
they do on other PDAs.

I would rather have an iPod with 802.11g/n capability and pick up updated
podcasts and such whenever a usable signal is found [for free in MANY
environments]. I ALMOST bought the Zen because of this. But, for various
other reasons, I bought an iPod. BTW ... I have found the sound quality of
m4a files encoded using the Nero AAC encoder at q=0.55 to be much better than
what iTunes puts out at 192kbps VBR at very similar file sizes [in most cases,
the quality is significantly better and the size sometimes just a little
larger ... try q=0.50 for smaller] ... highly recommended.

Fine if you only buy individual songs for the gym.

Or buy a CD for about the same price and get full CD quality.
I've got a honkin' home stereo, and I want quality fo my money

You can also put them on all your devices and not worry about how or
where you want to put your music.

I already have AT&T Laptop Connect (3G) service for which I am paying
$60 per month. If I get a 3G iPhone (when it arrives), will I have to
pay extra? John, do you know?
