Default Outgoing email server for PocketPC/Windows Mobile

I am having trouble sending email from my PDA phone because my POP/SMTP mail
server won't allow that from outside their network. I can receive just
fine, but sending isn't allowed. Does Verizon have an outgoing mail server
that can be setup for these types of email accounts?

I've already talked to my POP/SMTP service provider, and they can't do
anything about it.

When I was using my PDA/phone for email, I used the Gmail SMTP
server, just as I do for my other computers. It can be used
regardless of your ISP or cellular carrier.

If you decide to use Gmail, follow Gmail's instructions TO THE LETTER as
you must setup to use security encryption to properly connect to it.

Once you get it setup, it works great and is nearly flawless.

Notice you must change the PORT NUMBERS to the SSL port numbers....

Yes. It's provided for just that purpose.

Server name: smtp.vzwmail.net

For registration and setup instructions, visit the Verizon help page:
