I think newer Airport Express's support 802.11 a,b,g, and draft n for your
wireless connectivity, so you should be covered there. Depending what type of
wireless hardware you have running on your laptops, that may limit whether you
can access with b,g or n.
As an example, I have an older AirPort Extreme that only supported 802.11b and
802.11g, but was new at the time. I had an older ibook that I picked up an
inexpensive AirPort 802.11b card for so I'm limited to the 802.11b performance.
