Why should this be of concern to Verizon customers?

More bad news for Verizon customers as stores close tomorow
Sadly hundreds of Verizon employees who are stationed in CC kiosks
stand to loose their jobs before christmas if positions can not be
found elsewhere at Verzion. Maybe they could land a job hawking
Verizon services at Radio Shack ? Could T-Mobile or Sprint fit these
people in somewhere?
Circuit City lost me as a customer when they got rid of all the decent
store employees about a year ago and switched to the type of people
who aspire to work at Radio Shack. Remember CompUSA? Same thing before
they closed up!
A high tech store is a mixture of the latest products and skilled
retail associates who are properly compensated not just paid street
wages to show up.
I doubt that anyone in this new crowd graduated in the top ninety
percent of their class in school if they even graduated at all. Most
were completely clueless about the products they sell and not suitable
for seeking information on making a wise purchasing decision.
Does anyone really like dealing with a ‘store manager’ who acts like
they should have been flipping burgers at McDonalds or selling street
pharmaceuticals?
Who do they think they were fooling?
Many customers were probably turned off by the mind numbing rap
blaring from the right rear of the store. Others may have been annoyed
at the matting rituals this mixed crowd engaged in all day as they
talked to others on their cell phones while ignoring those patiently
waiting for product inquiries.
Buying a high end piece of electronics from them now is even more
risky since Circuit City will not even be around to stand behind a
defective product. Beware Circuit City also now stocks a lot of high
tech junk with the Element Electronics label which is risky even when
a store is available to stand behind it. This is the sort of stuff
that gives China a bad name in exports.

But you were asked what this has to do with Verizon customers as noted
in the subject? Are you declaring this is some sort of evil plot by
whomever and we just don't understand or you just don't have any apple
fanboi news? And it made no sense to post this to the VZW group never
mind cross posting it to the att and sprint groups.

I vote for the latter.

Many years ago I sold a computer an hour on average as a
Christmas part-timer at Computer-City.
They had many seemingly former shoe salesmen there.
Their stock answer to any question:
(i.e. Is this Okidata LED printer as goood as a Laser printer?)
"Well, we sell a lot of them!"
Past few years I havent shopped at CC as they wouldnt honor their
price match of 110% of difference at their Meyerland, Tx store.
They richly desrve to go out of business as far as I'm concerned.
I buy most my electronic pieces parts at buy.com
anymore.

I noticed that Target has now started selling postpaid Verizon service,
whereas before they were only selling InPulse service. Wal-Mart is also
now selling postpaid Verizon service, as is Costco. Verizon has no
shortage of retail outlets. No wonder they've become the largest carrier
in the U.S.. Soon they'll add the Alltel customers to their totals as
well. The HTC Touch Pro coming to Verizon (already being sold on Sprint
for two days) will really help Verizon since it's so much more capable
than the iPhone.

Thanks for the list, Vic. Charleston's escaped the chopping block.
I was hoping for fire sale prices Wednesday, but I'd have to go to Atlanta.
Had a great day with CC stock today. I was watching for the announcement
and bought shares at 29 cents this morning. I rode the roller coaster a
little too long, not dumping the 47 cents high until it had dropped off to
40c/share by the time I reacted. Still, 55% return on investment in 3
hours looks great on my account statement...(c; $14 fees well spent.
Sure love these turbulent stock prices....(c;]

A scrawny kid comes in and applies for a job as a sales associate at a
large megastore. The HR lady is impressed with his enthousiasm, dispite
his lack of sales experience, so she puts him on and sends him to the
associate supervisor.
The supervisor figures he won't last a week so sends him over to the
pharmacy department to help the customers find things on the shelf.
the supervisor stops by the kid's locker at the end of the shift and
asked him if he sold anything that day, just for amusement. "Sure!",
the kid replies. "How much was it?", the supervisor asks.
"$76,842.13.", the kid says while tying his shoes. "WHAT?!", the
supervisor exclaims on his way towards the bench to avoid falling over.
"Well, this guy comes into pharmacy and asked me where the Tampax was.
While I went over to show him, I mentioned that as he wasn't going to
have a good day buying these things he might just as well go fishing!"
"We started talking about fishing equipment, so I took him over to
sporting goods where he bought a new rod, reel, some other fishin' gear,
a big cooler to put his catch in and asked me to help him haul it out to
his car."
"On the way to the car, I asked him if he had a boat. He didn't so we
took a detour to the new marine department, where he fell in love with
that nice 30 foot center console with the twin 250hp Yamahas on it.
After we got the boat, we took his little stuff to his car where I made
the comment that his car was never going to pull the new boat safely up
the boat ramp, so we took a detour to the Car and Truck Dealership and
he bought a bright red Ford F-350 dually diesel pickup loaded to the
gills!"
"He's coming back tomorrow to pick up the boat after I suggested he get
it loaded up with sonar, radar, VHF marine radio and a stereo while the
truck shop is installing the big hitch I sold him for the truck."
"It all came to $76,842.13 before taxes.", the kid proudly proclaimed.
"I know I'm a new hire and really don't deserve any time off, but can I
have tomorrow afternoon off to go fishin' with him out on the lake? He
called his wife before he left and she wants to talk to me about a new
van to haul her kids around in."
The supervisor gave him the whole day off, having set a new sales record
for a single customer and as "Salesman of the Month" for November.
(not my story and it's very old....but your comments gave me a
flashback.)

LOSE, not LOOSE. Here's someone's old post I've kept around for just such
an occasion.
A simple grammar lesson.
lose - the opposite of win, to misplace something, ONE ****ING O
loose - the opposite of tight, your mother/wife/sister, TWO ****ING O's
How can so many people get these two confused? IDIOTS
your - a possessive, similar to mine, his, her as in "your loose slut of a
sister loses her mind every time she gets railroaded by your whole inbred,
shitbag excuse of a family", NO ****ING APOSTROPHE
you're - a contraction of "you are", as in "you're a dipshit", A ****ING
APOSTROPHE
its - another possessive, similar to your, NO ****ING APOSTROPHE
it's - a contraction of "it is", as in 'it's ****ing simple', A ****ING
APOSTROPHE
Need a trick? Fine - when using it's or you're, expand the contraction. If
"you're head is full of shit" becomes "you are head is full of shit" and
doesn't make any sense (maybe it will to you because you're a ****ing
idiot), then you are using the wrong word. Queef.
to - a preposition, as in "turn to the right" or "it's time to go back to
school", ONE ****ING O
too - an adverb (know what that is?), synonymous with "also", "as well" as
in "Really? I went to college too. I actually read a ****ING BOOK." It can
also be used to mean "to a regrettable degree" as in "It's too late for
you, moron", TWO ****ING O's
two - a number, it comes after one
there - an adverb, similar to here as in "your tiny bus is over there"
their - yet another possessive, similar to your as in "it's not their fault
that you're a ****ing retard. It's YOUR fault."
they're - a contraction of "they are" as in "they're not responsible for
your complete ignorance of YOUR OWN ****ING LANGUAGE. READ A BOOK!!"
IT'S NOT ****ING HARD, DOUCHE BAGS.
